Courteous and proactive, the Night Auditor is the main point of contact for ship guests at night. They communicate well and see to it that passenger queries and needs are attended to as soon as possible. They ensure that front desk operations continue to run safely through the night and have the versatility to handle diverse operations such as reconciling accounts, scheduling wake-up calls, and making sure that the front desk area maintains its spotless appearance. In addition, they have a strong sense of responsibility, dealing with the security of the ship at night. Candidates with experience in similar positions (night auditor, night watch, nighty, night receptionist) are preferred.

Requirements:

• at least 21 years old
• good command of English & German
• very good computer skills
• ability to deal with crew and passengers in a professional manner
• ability to work in an attentive and dependable manner
• positive attitude
• knowledge of German and/or French are an advantage

Responsibilities:

• keep the front desk and accounting operations running smoothly during the night
• watch for the safety and security of the ship during the night shift
• perform hourly round checks of the ship
• complete end-of-day activities: reconcile accounts, check  bar bills and sort them per cabin, post charges to accounts
• manage the “Wake up List”, make the wake-up calls at the right time, play the movies in the evening
• hoover the bar during the night
• prepare the morning coffee and tea (the bar staff will fix the setup)
