The Massage Therapist is a licensed professional that consults with clients to assess needs and provide services of Swedish massage, aromatic massage and reflexology with a soothing and unfailingly professional demeanour. They know just how to create the right ambience for the AMADEUS cruise guests, providing a holistic wellness experience. With their knowledge and expertise in a range of massage techniques, they are able to ascertain the needs of guests and to sell their massage services. The post holder helps guests pursue their wellness goals during the cruise. They also have general exercise knowledge and hold a short daily workout session in order to improve the overall sense of well-being and enhance guest’s fitness.

Requirements:

• ability to communicate in German and/or English
• experience in similar positions as massage practitioner, licensed massage therapist, spa therapist, sports massage therapist or clinical massage therapist
• experience in various massage techniques, especially Swedish Massage, Aromatic Massage and Reflexology
• customer-oriented, friendly and professional approach
• ability to create the right atmosphere in the Massage Room including soothing music, soft lighting or scented oils

Responsibilities:

• suggest massage types to customers based on their needs
• perform quality, therapeutic bodywork on clients to improve circulation, promote relaxation and relieve stress, pain and injuries
• make sure the massage room is cleaned and stocked at all times
• carry out a half-an-hour light exercise with the guests on the Sun Deck (or in the Fitness Room in case of bad weather) in the morning, adapted to guest abilities
• assist at the front desk when no massage appointments are scheduled as well as on check-in and check-out days
• take care of working equipment and check the product inventory
